CapSightSolutions / Benchmark Competitors

Put your centre beside the ones you compete with.

A competitor in a GCC market is the company you hire against as much as the one you sell against. CapSight lays peers side by side on scale, footprint, financials, pay position and hiring, so you can see where your centre leads, where it trails and who is moving.

Benchmark Competitors, in four parts.

Each part is something the product does today, with the data it uses named on the page.

A like-for-like peer set

Group peers by Platform Industry, city or size band and compare them on the same measures, instead of assembling the comparison from separate sources.

Footprint and scale

India headcount bands, global headcount, hubs and setup period for each peer, so growth stories are compared with their starting points.

Pay position

A peer's median CTC against its industry's and the market's at the same experience band, expressed as a ratio you can read at a glance.

Movement

New centres, expansions, leadership moves and contractions from the news feed, so a peer's next step is visible before it shows in headcount.

One market, twelve decisions.

The same list of GCCs, the same cities and the same pay benchmarks sit under every solution, so where to build, what to build, what to pay and whom to hire are answered from one set of facts that agree with each other.

Questions it answers

Ask the question the way you would ask a colleague.

These are the kinds of questions this page is built for. Each one is answered from the data on it, not from a general model of the market.

  1. Which peers in my industry run the largest India headcount, and in which cities?

  2. How does our median pay sit against our closest competitor's at the same band?

  3. Which peers have announced new centres or expansions this year?

  4. Who is hiring for the roles we are hiring for, and where?

  5. How do employer ratings compare across the peer set?

  6. Which competitors changed their India leadership recently?

From first look to a decision you can show.

  1. Choose the peer set

Start from your company, then add peers by industry, city or size.

  2. Compare the dimensions

Read scale, footprint, pay position and hiring side by side.

  3. Watch movement

Follow expansion news and leadership moves for the peers you track.

  4. Report it

Turn the comparison into a dossier or a brief for the people who decide.

Built for the people who own the decision.

The terms on this page, defined.

Every figure on a CapSight page comes with its definition, so you never have to guess what a number is counting.

GCC
A Global Capability Centre: a centre a company runs in India for its own global work, such as engineering, analytics, finance, operations or support. It is part of the company, not an outside vendor.
Platform Industry
The one industry grouping CapSight uses for every company, so a filter or a chart means the same thing on every page. There are 10.
Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities
Tier 1 is the eight established hubs: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Every other city is Tier 2.
CTC
Cost to company: the annual total an employer commits to one person, shown in lakh rupees. One lakh is 100,000.
Percentile band (P25, P50, P75, P90)
P50 is the median: half the people in the sample earn less. P25 and P75 mark the edges of the middle half, and P90 marks the top tenth. A pay figure is always read with its band.
Build journey
A documented account of how a comparable centre started: its first city, its first team and how it grew, with each figure cited to its source.

Before you ask.

Can I compare companies in different industries?

Yes, but pay position is read against each company's own industry and the market, so the comparison stays like-for-like.

Does every company have pay data?

No. Just over half of the companies in the platform have company-level pay rows; the rest show the industry and market benchmarks.

Where do employer ratings come from?

Employee-review platform ratings, shown where a platform covers the company.
